Position Overview
The Firm seeks a Director of Marketing (Part-Time) to lead and execute its strategic marketing and growth initiatives. This is a leadership-level role responsible for building brand visibility, expanding client acquisition channels, supporting CLE promotion, and strengthening the Firm’s positioning as a national authority in AI law and regulation.
This role is ideal for a marketing professional with experience in professional services, law firms, regulatory consulting, or policy-focused organizations.
Employment Structure
Status: Part-Time
Hours: Approximately 15–25 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
Location: Remote or New York City preferred
Compensation: Competitive hourly or retainer structure, commensurate with experience
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Marketing Leadership
Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the Firm’s growth objectives.
Define and refine brand positioning across AI regulation, legislative advisory, and litigation.
Identify and pursue new client acquisition channels.
2. Digital Presence and Brand Management
Oversee website content, updates, and optimization.
Manage LinkedIn and other professional platforms to increase engagement and visibility.
Coordinate consistent branding across publications, CLE materials, and public-facing communications.
3. CLE and Event Promotion
Develop and execute marketing campaigns for CLE programs and speaking engagements.
Build and manage targeted email campaigns to lawyers, general counsel, policymakers, and law schools.
Track registration metrics and optimize promotional performance.
4. Media and Thought Leadership Support
Support publication strategy for articles, alerts, and commentary related to AI law and regulation.
Assist with podcast promotion and distribution strategy.
Identify speaking, panel, and media opportunities aligned with Firm priorities.
5. Business Development Support
Assist with proposals, pitch materials, and capability statements.
Develop concise client-facing materials that clearly articulate service offerings.
Track inbound inquiries and support conversion strategy.
Qualifications
5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a law firm, consulting firm, policy organization, or professional services environment.
Demonstrated ability to build brand visibility in a niche or emerging practice area.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Experience with email marketing platforms, CRM systems, and LinkedIn growth strategies.
High degree of professionalism, discretion, and independent judgment.
Preferred Experience
Experience marketing legal or regulatory services.
Familiarity with AI, technology policy, privacy, or administrative law issues.
Background in marketing CLE programs or legal education initiatives.
